In July, we found 107 jobs in PR

From agencies including Four, Red Consultancy and Zeno

The number of roles in the Jobs in PR dataset of the UK’s largest agencies has remained robust over the past four months after falling from a peak in March. July maintains a balanced distribution of junior, mid-weight and senior roles.

The dataset has an underlying strength. A consistent level of hiring is a positive sign for the overall public relations industry. This indicates that we are trading along the bottom of the market after the slowdown in 2023.

Economic indicators and business confidence in the broader economy is improving. Inflation fell to two percent in the UK in June, although growth remained stagnant. The latest Lloyds Bank Business Barometer reported that business confidence reached its highest level for over eight years.

Typically, the market for public relations services lags the economy by three to six months. We anticipate a positive shift in the market in the second half of the year, followed by an uptick in hiring.
